In addition to lean meats, certain fruits can be very useful to your muscle healing.  Muscle recovery is crucial in order for the muscle tissue to cure causing the muscle to grow bigger and stronger.  Every food that contains amino acids will assist the body to recover.  In addition, foods that are high in potassium can assist your muscles recuperate and grow.  If you have a long drive back from the gym, take a bag of strawberries or a banana with you for after your workout.  After you get home, you can consume your lean meat meal.
