Grow taller through stretching: an efficient means
Don’t be surprised if somebody tells you that you cannot grow taller by stretching. Many may not know this but now you can! This does not imply that someone is being put on a medieval rack and is forced to confess crimes. You would probably be doing some of the stretching exercises that are talked about in detail in this article.
Be ready to do some extra stretching activity if you wish to grow taller through stretching. This does not mean you can stretch once a month or anytime at your will. It has to be done numerous times every day. When we say numerous times a day, we mean stretching properly as often as you can. Not just before every meal. Just like you recall to eat every now and then, remember to pull those muscles every time you get up to grab a snack. A 10-15 minute stretching duration must be inculcated in your daily activities.
The time period of the exercise is not the same for every plan. Some may call for more while others may need lesser time period. This is only to enlighten you on the commitment involved in the process and thereby make you understand what you would be doing in the process. One must not neglect these important exercises since they can guarantee a healthier lifestyle apart from the main aim of making you look taller. Three stretches namely, the cobra stretch, cat stretch and toe stretches are talked about in this article.
You can attempt the cat stretch even though it is not generally recommended when you are outside the comforts of your house. Why should you not do this exercise at your workplace? Well, it is merely because the stretch procedure would require you to start on all fours!
When you are in a comfortable and stable position being on all four limbs, bend your back and try as much as you can to touch your chin to your chest. Now try to maintain your body in this position for at least 10 counts. Once you complete the countdown, straighten your back and lift your chin as high as possible to face the roof. While you are stretching up and down, do not forget to breathe as normally as you do. What this cat stretch does is accelerate the growth of your back as well as helps to expand your vertebrae.
Cobra stretch is the other approach that can be attempted for growing taller through stretching. In this position, you need to lie down on the floor facing down with palms stretched out in front of your shoulders. You can begin by pointing your chin as high as possible. This in turn can arch your back. Rest after doing this for 10-20 seconds This position helps to stretch the vertebrae and prevent it from getting contracted.
Now for the last position – toe touching. This involves good amount of stretching although it isn’t as fancy and elaborate as the other two. Do you recall the long hours at physical education? This is quite like that. All you need to do is to stand erect and point your hands straight above your head, towards the ceiling. Next step is to bend down and touch your toes with your hands. While you are reaching to your toes, make sure that you do not bend your knees otherwise this isn’t as effective.
If you are not real active, you may not be able to do this in the first go. But worry not, try hard to touch your toes as close as you can and hold that position for at least ten counts, if not more. A little practice can get you to touch your toe with your fingertips. Very soon you will even be able to keep your palms on the floor.
By stretching your back and legs this way will ensure that your knee joints uncompress and help to expand over time. A medical research has concluded that as an individual grows older he/she tends to shrink.
Bad shoes, constant gravity, and working are the major factors that lead to shrinking and result in compressed joints and spines as well.You can combat this through stretching.
An important tip to remember is that in the bid to grow taller, do not end up causing an internal or external injury to your body.
