How To Get Fit The Fast And Easy Way
Who would need to make a New Year’s resolution if they really wanted to accomplish something? Every year, millions of people promise themselves that this year they are going to the gym and are going to work on their muscle growth. Every year millions of people don’t follow through.
‘But I do want to get fit, ‘ you protest. Of course you do, but when you made your resolution, you were already resolved to force yourself to do something you didn’t want to do, just because you have a mistaken idea that fitness training isn’t fun. Well, it can be.
If you like pumping iron, that’s one thing, but if you don’t, that’s quite another. What you need to do is to find a way to get fit that you enjoy. Then it’s easy.
What you choose is entirely up to you. If you like swimming, go for a swim, but don’t make the mistake of forcing yourself to do some arbitrary number of laps. Just swim for fun. Give yourself a modest goal at first. Instead of forcing yourself to do 10 laps, do one. That’s right, just one. If that’s your only goal, you’ll probably find that you actually do want to swim some more laps, so go ahead and do them.
It’s not in many of the fitness manuals, but it’s amazing how going easy on yourself can lead to a happy fitness regime. Many people put off jogging, for instance, because they think they have to jog for ten miles. Try jogging for ten yards next time you’re out for a walk. Gradually and naturally, you’ll step it up until you find yourself several miles.
There’s nothing like cycling for fitness. It’s a great workout. Before you run out and buy a Schwinn mountain bike, though, go to the park and rent one and see how you like it. Take a leisurely ride around the park. When you’re hooked, then buy a mountain bike and tackle the big hills.
You don’t need to start investing a lot of money in supplements, either, just because you’ve started to get fit. An herbalifeline isn’t really necessary until you’ve ramped it up a bit. Sensible eating habits will do just fine.
That’s quite a different approach to fitness than the furrowed brow and grim determination method, isn’t it? Think about it, though. Shouldn’t fitness be fun? You’ll find that it is fun and only becomes more fun the fitter you get. So don’t make a vow to get fit, just get out and enjoy yourself and fitness will come.
