Improving Your Diet With Fresh Fruit And Vegetables
I take it by now you know you know that a large portion of your daily diet should consist of fruits and vegetables. This sounds simple in theory, but in reality it can be a challenging task for a lot of people. But it doesn’t have to be a complicated process, even if you don’t prepare your own food every day there are still a million and one ways to introduce more healthy foods into your diet. Here’s a quick way to start your journey – swap any pasta’s or rice on your plate with a scoop or four of protein rich vegetables.
Even if you’re more of a subway person, try this little trick… Order extra veg and meat and replace it for the mayo and cheese. You can ask for extra vinegar and olice oil if you find it too dry without the mayo. Try and avoid buying an unhealthy desert, just ignore those big fat cookies and greasy chips and grab a portion of fruit instead.
If you want six pack abs it’s important to eat as much fruit and veg as you can as it helps keep your body fat percentage low, the perfect abs work out plan can be found here.
If you want to get on the right track quicker try meal replacements. Instead of eating a fat filled mid afternoon lunch try eating a nice big healthy salad. Just think how many different salads you could make with all the different vegetables there are in the supermarket, get creative! If you’re not liking the idea of preparing your own salads I insist you just try it, just give it a go, I promise you’ll love it.
Try making you meals the night before, you can leave it in the fridge so its good to go the next day. I normally prepare two meals the night before, one fore the next day and another in case I’m in a rush and need a ‘meal to go’. I also recommend you keep lots of fruit in your fridge so you can grab a healthy snack instead of eating chips and biscuits.
If you spend a lot of time at fast food joints like Burger King or McDonald’s remember that they also have the option of fruits instead of sugar filled junk foods. And last but not least, if you’re just too busy to actually make a 10 minute salad the next best option is to buy a ready made one from your local store, although they aren’t the healthiest option they’re better than nothing at all.
