Lungs that can hold masses of air so you can play so long as you like is very important.
Toe raises are another way that I was able to increase my vertical jump. To do them correctly you need to stand flatfooted and then slowly raise yourself up onto your tip-toes. Hold them there for a few seconds and then slowly lower yourself back down but do not let your heels touch the ground until you are done with this exercise. After you do a few sets of these and are cosy you are able to add some weights to your hands.
