If you try to train every other day, your body doesn't have the time that it needs to recover. How can you build muscle when no recovery from the previous session has taken place? Never train more than 3 times a week, twice a week would be even better. Remember that you grow while you rest.

Follow the principles outlined here and you cannot fail to build muscle fast
