Road Bikes Help Cut The Time Spent Working Out
When you ask someone how long they usually spend in the gym, a typical response is at least an hour, sometimes two, just so they feel like they have really worked out.
However, when I tell these hard-core gym goers that I get the same results as them whilst spending only 30 minutes in the gym, they are astonished! Sometimes they will not believe a word I say.
For some people however, they simply have too little time in each day to do any more than 30 minutes of exercise at a time. One cannot describe this as being lazy but some people really do not have the time in the day to spend an hour or two in the gym.
But how can 30 minutes of exercise really give you the same results you would see if you worked for an hour or more?
To start with, make sure you have a plan for each day. Write down all of the exercises you will be doing for that day and write down all of the weights you will be using for each exercise. So that you stay on track you should also write down the number of repetitions and sets you will be doing. If you use road bikes to get to work then count this towards your cardio exercise as your heart rate will be increased.
Do split body part routines. So it could be arms and legs on Monday and Tuesday, stomach and back on Wednesday and Friday depending on your routine. This way you only have half of your body parts to work on each day cutting down significantly on time spent in the gym.
Try not to make the gym too social of a place. Try to be friendly, smile at people and say hello, but do not get distracted in full conversations. Remember, you only have so much time and 5 minutes spent talking rather than exercising is 5 minutes wasted. Explain to people wishing to talk to you that you are on limited time and you just can’t stop what you are doing at the moment or better yet, put on a pair of headphones before you begin your workout; they’ll get the clue.
Do not mix a weights work out with cardio. You can spend your time on road bikes one day and doing arm strengthening exercises the next. This way you can maximise effort whilst keeping the time down to 30 minutes. Combining the two only means you will have to spend more time in the gym and time spent in the gym is what you are trying to cut down on.
