Womens Fitness Kickboxing students have to keep their hearts strong because it is one of the most important parts of the body. The heart is where you feel nervousness, love, strength, courage, sadness, and life. You need your heart to live. People know why we have hearts, but few know how the heart works. If you have a better understanding of how the heart works you can understand your body better. You’ll understand how oxygen affects the heart and how it travels throughout your body.

The heart muscle is divided into the right and left sides and each side is divided again into upper and lower chambers. In total the heart has 4 separate chambers. The upper chamber of the heart is called the atria and the lower chamber of the heart is called the ventricles. The heart receives the venous blood (blood coming back to the heart through the veins) from the right side then pumps this blood to the lungs. All of the blood from the venous system enters through the right atrium before flowing into the right ventricle. When the heart muscle contracts, the right ventricle squeezes against the volume of blood that had filled the chamber and sends this blood to the lungs through the pulmonary arteries. Once in the lungs the blood picks up a fresh supply of oxygen and gives off carbon dioxide in the pulmonary capillaries. Womens Fitness Kickboxing students need that freshly oxygenated blood that returns to the left atrium through the pulmonary veins. From the left atrium that blood flows into the left ventricle. When the right ventricle contracts the left ventricle will contract as well. The left ventricle pumps the blood in its chamber through the largest artery in the body the aorta.

It’s important to understand the importance of how breathing is essential to the heart. Your muscles will fatigue if you hold your breath for too long. Womens Fitness Kickboxing students breathe with every move they make, every punch, and every kick because their muscles need oxygen.

Instructors who give Self Defense Classes in Maryland know there is a three month period where it is extremely hard for people to stick to their diet and weight loss goals. Those three months are November, December, and January. Because of thanksgiving November is a difficult month. That holiday is the beginning of the end for most dieters. They all know that the holiday season is coming up but few people have the willpower pick the foods they eat carefully. They go crazy on the stuffing, macaroni and cheese, turkey, and gravy because they’ve justified in their mind that it’s just one day out of the year. Sure it is one day out of the year, but that means no leftovers either.

December is another hard month of dieters because of the Christmas feast. All the family will gather together and sit down at a table full of food. Most people who get Kickboxing Classes in MD feel as if they have no choice but to eat the food or they will be perceived as rude. That is such a silly saying ‘eat this food, you don’t want to be rude’. People have heard that saying from childhood to adulthood. Even if dieters tell the person offering the food they are watching what they eat the person offering the food will usually try to find ways to make them eat the food anyways with no regard for the dieters goals.

Surprisingly January is on the list of the tough months. People would think that because of the New Year’s resolutions that people make they would eat the right foods. That’s far from the truth because that month is used as the excuse month. Instructors who give Maryland Jujitsu classes don’t like it when people use January to say they will start dieting later. They’ll start eating right later, maybe next month. February will be the true beginning of their New Year’s resolution. There are a lot of excuses that people use in January that delays them from starting their body transformation now.

How many times have you been told as a child to eat your vegetables so you can grow up to be big and strong? Kickboxing Classes in MD students heard that a lot as a child. As an adult you probably hear it even more. Vegetables are necessary to eat to fuel your body with the nutrition that it needs. Eating the right servings of vegetables daily will aid in the physiological development of your body. Different vegetables aid the body differently so it’s important to have a variety throughout your day. Vegetables have been attributed to developing eye sight, healthy skin, brain function, cellular regeneration; the list goes on because there are numerous benefits.

Vitamins and minerals are plentiful in vegetables. Kickboxing Classes in MD students have been told that raw vegetables are the best vegetables to eat because they’ll retain their nutritional value. This fact is true for a lot of vegetables because if they are cooked in water the water will have most of the nutrients. If you sautéed vegetables the nutrients will be at the bottom of the pan. When you eat the cooked vegetables you won’t be eating them at their true nutritional value anymore. You’ll be eating them for taste. Cooking the vegetables causes them to shrink so you’ll have to cook more to be a filling a meal.

However there are a few vegetables who’s nutritional value increases when they are cooked. Broccoli raw has approximately 2 grams of fiber and 43 milligrams of calcium. When you cook the broccoli those numbers jump up to 6 grams of fiber and 94 milligrams of calcium. Raw carrots contain 328 micrograms of luten and 10,605 micrograms of beta-carotene. 12,998 micrograms of beta-carotene and 1,072 micrograms of luten are found within cooked carrots. Raw spinach has approximately 58 micrograms of folate and 1,688 micrograms of beta-carotene. Cooked spinach has 11,318 micrograms of beta-carotene. This shows a incredible difference between cooked and raw spinach. That’s why Kickboxing Classes in MD students cook their vegetables.

Self Defense Classes in Maryland schools know that there are so many different types of nuts in the world. There is the peanut, walnut, cashew, almond, macadamia, hazelnut, etc. All nuts are nutritional in their own right and can help the body. However the nut that stands out the most is the almond. Almonds are an impressive power food that is growing in popularity among athletes, martial artists, and people who want to lose weight. It doesn’t hurt that almonds have a great taste to them so you wouldn’t mind having to eat them daily. They are delicious and crunchy nut that will always increase the amount of water you drink. Eating almonds will make you thirsty for water and since most people don’t drink the recommended amount of water daily, almonds will work perfectly.

Almonds have been known to tame hunger cravings and reduce cholesterol. Since almonds are cholesterol-free they will fill the body with good fats that will raise the HDL cholesterol level and decrease the LDL cholesterol level. They are high in Vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant that your body needs. Vitamin E plays a role in improving heart health, cardiovascular health, and it’s good for both prostates and breasts. Almonds are low in saturated fat and are a great source of protein for muscle recovery and that’s why Maryland BJJ schools recommend them.

Like most foods almonds are not to be eaten in large quantities. Make sure you eat almonds that are all natural with no salt or flavors. The salt and flavored almonds take away from the nutritional benefits for the almond. Always follow the serving guidelines on the Almond’s label to keep from overeating. Kickboxing Classes in MD schools suggest that their students eat a handful of almonds twice throughout the day as your snack. Almonds are beloved for their convienience and the boosts in energy they give. Almonds are the rare good for you food that tastes great.

Kickboxing Classes in MD students need flexibility to show off their good techniques. Flexibility is the range of motion about a joint. Flexibility training is used to increase range of motion in specific muscle groups. Flexibility is limited by four factors. The first factor is the elastic limits of the ligaments and tendons crossing the joints. The second factor is the elasticity of the muscle tissue itself. The third factor is the bone and joint structure. The fourth factor is the skin and its elasticity.

There are many types of exercises that can be done to increase the range of motion about the joints. As every system must be overloaded to generate specific gain, so must the connective and skeletal muscle be overloaded to generate increased flexibility. Womens Fitness Kickboxing students noticed an improvement in roundhouse power because they were able to straighten out their legs more. One of the safest overloads for flexibility training is a slow, sustained stretch. Ballistic bobbing and bouncing stretching is generally not recommended. They can lead to injury in the muscle fibers and connective tissues. The chances of the overstretching the connective tissues is high by doing ballistic stretching. The muscle spindles are fibers in the muscle tissue that protect against too much of a stretch. Explosive and ballistic stretching causes muscles spindles stimulate and make your muscles contract.

Increasing flexibility has a simple general guideline. Slowly stretch to the point where tension is felt in the muscles being stretched. Stretching until you feel pain can cause damage to your connective tissues and muscles. While breathing evenly hold the stretch for 10-15 seconds. Do not hold your breath when stretch or in any activity that you do besides swimming. When your muscles are exerted like they are in stretches, they need constant oxygen. Doing four sets of 10-to 15-seconds stretches has been showed to improve range of motion about the joints. Kickbosing Classes in MD students stretch after every training session.

Maryland BJJ students like Brazilian jiu-jitsu because it is fun, physical, and challenging martial art to participate in. It’s fun because it almost makes you feel like a kid again when you would grapple with your friends. Having to think about your movements presents a challenge. You have to be in a constant state of awareness to avoid being swept or submitted. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is just a physical combat sport. Your body will take a beating from doing BJJ long enough. Actually your body will take a beating at every belt level. Every muscle in your body is being used when you are doing BJJ. You’ll even feel soreness in muscles you never knew existed. That’s all part of the sport of BJJ. If someone doesn’t like that feeling they are more than welcome to take up a different activity.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu can be a dangerous martial art for the body. You put yourself at risk of having your limbs broken. You might even get choked unconscious by your partner or opponent. Maryland Jujitsu schools do a good job of avoiding those two situations because everybody is practicing in a safe and non threatening learning environment. However, there is a deep feeling of pain that most BJJ practitioners experience often while training. This pain you are feeling is called a leg cramp, also known as a charlie-horse. When you feel a sharp intense pain in your calf that leaves you feeling paralyzed you know your in trouble.

Charlie-horses are usually caused by lack of proper hydration, vitamins, and stretching. Constant water consumption is a necessity. Don’t complain about the pain if you don’t drink enough water. Self Defense Classes in Maryland students know that a good way to prevent most cramps is to eat and drink foods with potassium in it. Bananas and potatoes are the most basic sources of potassium. Multi-vitamins and potassium supplements are also viable sources of potassium.

Maryland Jujitsu schools know that everyone tends to start the new year saying they want to “get healthy” or maybe “lose weight” but most of the time that stuff doesn’t really happen. . . right? Here is an easy solution to help you jump start your diet plan in 3 days time. It is not a liquid diet, or a form of starvation.. It’s a body detox that will cleanse out your system so you can fill it back up after the 3 days with healthier foods that’s good for your body. With any new diet it will seem difficult at first because you are not used to eating a certain way. After going through the detox you’ll be more mindful of basic food choices.

The guidelines for this detox diet is that you cannot consume any salt, sugar, dairy products, or carbohydrates for 3 days. The other elements are to eat all green raw vegetables and lean protein. The best part of the diet is that you get to eat every 2 hours and you eat until you are full. Kickboxing Classes in MD have to remind their students that they have to eat to lose to weight. Try to drink at least 32oz of water daily.

1. Any RAW green vegetable — vegetable must be fresh and uncooked

· Asparagus

· Lettuce

· Spinach

· Cabbage

· Cucumber

· Broccoli

· Kale

· Collard Green

· String Beans

· Peas

· Celery

· Green Spring Onion (Not white or red onion)

· Snow Peas

2. Lean protein – skinless cooked any way (steam, broiled) except fried

Chicken breast

Turkey Breast

Tuna packed in water

Fish

Crab

Shrimp

Lobster

Eggs (are limited to 3 a day)

3. 2 citrus fruits daily (grapefruit, orange or tangerine)

4. Dressing: any low Calorie or Fat Free Dressing it is highly suggested you make your own.

Vinegar & Oil based Salad dressing Recipe

Equal portion Rice Vinegar

Equal portion Virgin Olive Oil

Squeeze fresh lemon to taste

Cracked black pepper to taste

Optional: Secret (add a raw egg and shake really hard – it was creamy and actually taste pretty good).

5. Sugar: Equal, Splenda, or Stevia (It is best not to use any sweetners because your body can’t break down artifical sweetners, there is still research being done on stevia, at the moment stevia seems to be the best choice if you have to use one. . . time will tell.)

6. Water at least 32 oz. but not limited to

Water with fresh lemon

Crystal Light (I recommend against artifical sweetners so it is best to cut this and soda out if you can)

Black Coffee (limited to 16 oz daily)

Herbal Tea

7. Eat until you are full – you should never be hungry on the detox (eat something every two hours)

8. Daily Self Affirmation-Maryland BJJ students should believe that they can do anything they put their mind to.

9. Journal your entire days activities to include. (what time you woke up, exercising duration, what you ate, what time did you eat)

10. Weigh yourself in the morning, at the same time, on the same machine on day 1 and day 4.

Kickboxing Classes in MD have been told all of their life to avoid eating fat from animals like beef and pork. Which is true, the fat from beef and pork is extremely unhealthy and bad for your body. There is another fat that is healthy and becoming popular.. The fat from fish has been proven scientifically to help improve bodily function.

There was a study conducted to figure out why people who lived in Iceland had one of the highest life expectantcy rates. Iceland was number one on the list with an average expectancy of 78.7 years. Right behind Iceland was Japan who had the second highest life expectancy will just a few months difference. Every year people from Iceland eat approximately 29,000 tons of fish. That is the most fish eaten compared to any country in the world.

So what is it about the fish that makes it so healthy and increases life expectancy? Fish are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids which is a healthy polyunsaturated fat that are essential for a lot of biological functions that’s why Maryland BJJ students like it. The Omega-3 fatty acids are a part of the membrane of every cell in the body; they are also the building blocks of hormones that dictate some of the body’s physiology.

There are people who don’t like the taste of fish at all. There are people who just don’t want to eat fish everyday to get the recommended amount of Omega-3. It’s okay because there is another option out there for these individuals. Students of Maryland Jujitsu get their Omega-3 in the form of a gel vitamin pill. The Omega-3 vitamin pill is convenient and you don’t have to worry about taking the time to cook. The vitamin is great for people who just don’t like the taste of fish, but they should be warned that they should not bite into the gel pill if they hate the taste of fish just swallow the vitamin whole. People who are allergic to fish cannot consume fish oil and gain it’s benefits..

Hygiene is important for a person to look after when attending a martial art schools in Maryland. The body is alright taking a beating from the physical activity, but it is also takes a bacterial beating. In martial arts that use a lot of grappling techniques like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu proper hygiene is extremely important. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is like submission grappling and even though the practitioners are wearing a gi or kimono there is still lots of sweat, germs, and bacteria that can travel. Stinky people in Brazilian jiu-jitsu are the worst! No one wants to be stuck in the bottom of a bad position while the person on top is sweating down and smells bad with the armpit in their face. The person on top doesn’t have to be considerate to the person on bottom by moving their armpit out of their face and possibly give up the dominant position. They have to make sure they take care of their hygiene before class starts. Here are some tips on how to keep up on hygiene.

Brush your teeth: Sounds basic, but is often overlooked. Some martial arts schools in Maryland are full contact and the fighters will sometimes get into each others faces and the last thing a person wants to worry about it bad breath hitting them in the face along with punches or submissions. If something was eaten before class then carry a toothbrush in the gym bag and use their bathroom to brush your teeth.

Scrub your body: Scrub your body when a shower is being taken. Don’t just lather up with soap and rinse it quickly off with water. Invest in a shower brush to scrub the dirt, sweat, and bacteria off the body.

Wash clothes: Clothes need to be washed everyday! Bacteria and sweat can live in the fabric for a long time and that can lead to mildew forming up on the clothes.

Martial arts schools in Maryland implore you to pay attention to your hygiene because it is common courtesy and a health concern.

You’re going to need some martial arts accessories in order to train properly whenever you’re getting involved in the martial arts or you’re looking to practice mixed martial arts. There are many different types of martial arts accessories, there are ones that you can use, and then there are other types that other people can use so you can practice your moves and skills on them. One of the best types of martial arts accessories you can have would be the use of a practice mat. These mats are designed for you to practice on so you do not hurt yourself when you fall down during practice. If you want to know more about martial arts practice mats then you need to visit Budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php. Martial Arts Accessories

Just think about the different types of wrestling moves you do during practice. These moves will require you to roll around on the floor and absorb impact. When you’re practicing, do you want to injure yourself while doing this? You would definitely not want it and might as well save it for the real thing, which is the reason why martial arts mats help in practicing, grappling, and learning the other ground techniques. This will be very helpful seeing as how a lot of mixed martial arts moves are involved in a ground game. You will not have to worry about injuring yourself while grappling on the floor. Mma Equipment

But martial arts moves are not the only use for these types of martial arts equipment. When practicing various exercises on, you can use these mats also. When getting yourself into condition, some of the exercises you will be doing will require you to get into positions that can lead to possibly injuring yourself on the floor. These godsend practice mats are types of surfaces that can shield you or prevent yourself from having to lie on them. These types of martial arts accessories will be especially valuable to you depending on the type of martial arts you are trying to learn disciplines such as judo and wrestling. If you want to know more about these types of martial arts accessories then visit Budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php.

You can also use practice mats when you’re actually engaged in a real competition. Practice mats are important depending on what level of competition you are in as well as your age. Beginners oftentimes use these types of mats, especially if they are engaged in practice. Beginners usually are not ready to go at full speed yet so they simply want a way to train, and at the same time know they will not seriously injure themselves when it comes time to get into a real mixed martial arts match. Take time on one of the best mixed martial arts accessories you can have and make sure that you incorporate a good practice mat into your regimen. Mma Gear
