The Best Food For Bodybuilding

You have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to food, but you’re limited on how much you can eat every meal. Because of this it is important to choose the best bodybuilding foods.

For protein, eggs are known to provide 12.6 grams per 100 grams. Eggs are very easily absorbed and digested, particularly when they are in their natural, raw form. It is important to choose foods that will absorb and digest quickly and easily so your body can utilize the proteins and nutrients to help build and repair muscle. Make sure to always eat the yolk when you eat eggs. Despite the fact that raw egg yolk contains cholesterol, new studies have shown that the cholesterol found in raw eggs is not a contributor to heart disease. Egg yolks that have been cooked, however, will contain what is known as oxidized cholesterol. Oxidized cholesterol is what clogs up our blood vessels and contributes to heart disease.

This is why it is important to eat the eggs uncooked whenever possible. You can absorb and digest eggs most easily when eaten that way. You might not like the texture and flavor of raw eggs, but there are ways around that. You won’t even be able to tell that you are drinking raw egg if you mix it in with your daily protein shake or smoothie.

Eggs are also a very affordable source of protein compared to other common sources of protein. Even if bodybuilding isn’t your goal, eggs are so beneficial with regards to protein and nutrients, they should always be a part of your regular diet.

Another great protein source is quinoa, which in its uncooked state contains 14 grams of protein for every 100 grams of product. It also lacks gluten, but has plenty of minerals and vitamins, and can also provide you with complete protein. Soak your quinoa with water, rinsing it completely prior to the cooking process if you want to give it a shot. The saponin coating in quinoa might not be friendly to your stomach, so this has to be washed off before eating. This can be an alternative to rice or even oatmeal. Quinoa is fantastic when used in a stir fry. Pastas and breads could also be constructed with quinoa flour.

Another excellent source of protein is beef, which boasts 26 grams of protein per 100 grams. Carnatine is found in higher levels in beef than any other food. Carnatine is responsible for the breakdown of fat and generation of metabolic energy (energy used for bodily functions). Beef helps to increase strength as it provides a natural source of creatine. Beef is also filled with other nutrients that support muscle growth, recovery, and function. In my opinion, beef is the best form of meat for bodybuilding, a must have in your diet.

Whey protein is another popular source of protein, containing between 25-95% per serving. Isolate and concentrate are the two forms available for whey protein. You can get mostly 90 to 90% protein in isolate whey, where 25%-89% is found in concentrate. Make sure to read the label of the whey protein to verify the overall protein content of the product. If you are looking to gain weight while bodybuilding, look for protein powders that contain less protein and more lactase, a type of sugar. It is my reccomendation that you get things that have more higher proteins and fewer empty calories. Another benefit of whey protein powder is that whey is digested quickly so your body will have fast access to the proteins to aid in building muscle. You should take these products just prior to or just following a workout, as the BCAA in the whey protein will give extra energy to your muscles. You will also find a rich source of amino acids in whey protein. One of the amino acids is BCAA, which helps increase protein synthesis (building muscle) and it is also be used as energy for your muscles. This is probably the best bodybuilding food of them all.

Tuna contains 26 grams of protein for each 100 grams, just like beef does. However, with tuna, you can find twice as much creatine. When performing resistance training, you will find a much higher strength gain with creatine.

All of the foods outlined here are an excellent source of muscle building protein, but you should always remember to keep your diet nutritionally balanced. If you have a proper diet, you will be able to treat and repair your body correctly. Try to verify that your diet contains plenty of greens and fruit. However, focus on the best bodybuilding food.
