Three Easy Steps To Tone Flabby Arms

It seems that more and more that people are feeling under pressure to achieve physical perfection.  Who wouldn’t want a toned, firm and lean body?  A major concern for a lot of women is having flabby, saggy underarms, often referred to as bat wings or bingo wings.It can be very embarrasing to go out sleeveless especially when the sun is out.  Well, be embarrassed no more – you can learn, in three easy steps, how to tone your flabby arms and have beautifully sculpted and defined arms.

Step One – Burn Fat

In order to burn fat you must use up more calories than you take in. If you eat more calories than your use up, then these additional calories will be stored as fat. To stop putting on weight you need to decrease your calorie intake and increase your activity levels. Activities like aerobics, cycling, swimming and power walking are all great for burning up calories. You will not see much difference in your arms, however. If you want to tone your flabby arms, then you have to do this through specific strength training excercises.

Step Two – Strength Training Program

Rather than spending long hours trying to burn fat with exercises like aerobics or cycling, it would be better to spend more time on a strength training program. Exercises like aerobics and cycling are great for losing weight, but do not particularly build and strenghten muscle. If you want to tone your flabby and saggy arms then you need to start a strength training program.

Doing exercises such as bicep curls, bench dips and push ups are excellent for toning upper arms.For overall strength training and toning, you could try squats and lunges.

 

Step Three – Raise Metabolism

You can tone and define your arms by losing body fat and building muscle, but if you don’t raise your metabolic rate, it will be an almost impossible task trying to maintain them. Increasing your metabolic rate is crucial in keeping your arms toned.Even a small weight gain will show up in your arms.

By keeping active and moving throughout the day you can raise your metabolism. If you starve yourselve this will only decrease your metabolic rate. To keep your metabolism increased for longer periods of time, eat smaller meals, more regulary during the day.

If you want to tone your flabby arms then it is important that you start a program that will burn fat, build muscle, and raise your metabolism all at the same time; whilst paying specific attention to your arms in order to tone, define and sculpt them.
