Why Skinny Guys Have A Hard Time To Gain Muscle
Have you noticed that some skinny guys have a harder time to gain muscle than other guys to? This is mainly due to several factors put together that make it more difficult for them to build the muscles that they want to that comes out excellently in heftier guys. These factors have a lot to do with the body make-up and structure of the skinny guys themselves
Genetic Factors
Basically, many skinny guys that have difficulty to gain muscle are just built that way genetically. You have many people who will inherit the qualities of a skinny body from their parents and these traits can be passed down from generation to generation.
This is not always a bad thing because that means that a person is naturally skinny and will need to do little to lose weight to start body building. The only problem that comes in is to deal with genetics when wanting to build up muscles and mass the way regular guys are able to.
Longer Limbs Mean Bigger Range of Movement
There are three major body types, the Endomorphs, the Mesomorphs, and the Ectomorphs.
The Endomorphs are naturally larger body types and don’t have a problem in gaining muscle and mass. The only problem is they find it difficult to lose weight as other body types do.
Mesomorphs have a natural advantage because they can gain and lose weight easily which makes them ideal for muscle gain.
The Ectomorphs are the skinny guys who are lankier and longer limbed than the first two types. Since they have longer limbs, they also have bigger range of movement which is not so ideal for bodybuilding purposes to help them to gain muscle quickly and easily as they may desire.
Hormonal Structure
Some hormones that your body excretes will have a lot to do with what kind of body you have. One such hormone in guys is testosterone that is released to help with maintenance and on functions to gain the muscle that they need.
If your body releases too little of the hormone, like in a skinny guys body, then chances are higher that it will negatively affect how you builds muscle.
Because most skinny guys don’t release much testosterone it can be a lot harder for them to gain well defined muscle growth quickly.
Fast Metabolism
Metabolism is the process by which the body converts the food, that you eat, into energy to fuel your body. The lower your metabolic rate, the faster you will find that you gain weight much quicker because it takes longer for your body to break down the food to fuel itself.
For skinny guys, they have a high metabolic rate that allows them to break down food efficiently and quickly and they burn through energy much faster than as person with an Endomorph body type. This means that they store less fat since they burn through it faster making it harder for them to gain muscle and mass that they wish to.
Skinny guys are lucky that they don’t have to work hard to lose weight, but are unlucky that they have to work harder to gain muscle and mass that will really show in their already fit bodies.
